Glow Night Club
9pm onwards
THB 350 incl. 1 drink
Following on from Aardvarck’s roof-raising take on old school house last month, this Saturday, Berlin Beats offers us the rare treat of a live performance by German electronic music artist and Detroit aficionado Sascha Zastiral.
Recently signed to Detroit techno pioneer Kevin Saunderson’s KMS Records, Sascha will be sharing with us a special live set featuring his original Motor City-influenced productions. Using Ableton as sequencer, and a controller to trigger samples, he’ll be blending drums, basslines and funky grooves in real time to create a one-of-a-kind experience on Glow’s dance floor.
“The really special thing about playing live is that you can interact with the audience in a much more immediate way than DJing. You can observe how people react to every single bit of the performance and play with it. Ideally, the result is that you enter some sort of flow with the audience and carry it on through the whole live set. This can be a quite intense experience.” – Sascha Zastiral
Producing since the 90s, Sascha published his first 12” “Electronic Phiction” in 1998 on DJ Good Groove’s label Frisbee Tracks. Since then, his tracks have featured on respected labels including Monika Kruse’s Terminal M, Holzplatten, Swedish imprint Physical Soul and the renown “Mole” label. He has played hundreds of live sets in clubs all over Europe, including in the world famous “Tresor” in Berlin.
This Saturday, Sascha will be supported by Berlin Beats DJs, Stuttgart-based DJ and former Glow resident, Felix Moreno, Jaydubb, and the up-and-coming *harrington. Good times ahead! 🙂
