First gaining international praise for his personal bootlegs back in 2011, Bangkok-based DJ and producer, Moodwax, has since carved out a firm niche for himself in both the local and global scenes – thanks to his characteristic passion and dedication to his art.
Aside from releasing original tracks on labels such as Innocent Music, Electronique Digital and Malfunktion Deep, Moodwax has also produced a number of popular remixes and edits – including his well-received edit of Bob Marley’s ‘Sun is Shining’.
Airplay on UK house music label Toolroom Records’ radio show in 2012 catapulted him further into the global scene, with his edit of 14th’s ‘Lights Off’ later being picked up by the likes of BBC Radio 1, Aphex Twin, BANKS, Kavinsky and others.
This Saturday at Glow, Moodwax celebrates the 1-year anniversary of his retro-futuristic house project, ‘Love for the Herb’. The party also marks the closing of a chapter, as the artist heads off in a new musical direction. Keep an eye out for something special on 13th December, which will see the birth of Moodwax 2.0.
